ARE YOU IN THE LOOP?
Are you in the Loop?
Joining the Flower Loop means giving every flower sleeve a second life, without changing how your business works.
We collect, recycle and remanufacture used plastic sleeves into new 100% recycled ones, creating a simple circular system for florists, growers and wholesalers who care about where their materials end up.
Three simple steps
Collect. Return. Remake.
That’s it. A better ending for every bouquet, built into your everyday work.

Sleeves weigh the same as a sheet of paper
That’s measurable sustainability your customers can see.
The more businesses that join, the stronger the system becomes, closing the loop across the entire flower industry.
FOR GROWERS AND FLORISTS THIS MEANS
There is no circular system for plastic in floristry. Until now.

Every day, flower sleeves move through growers, wholesalers, and florists.
Used once.
Then discarded.
They aren’t designed to come back.
Without an industry-wide loop, even the most sustainable businesses hit a dead end.
For florists, growers and wholesalers, this means:
Paying to send valuable plastic to landfill.
Most flower sleeves aren’t accepted in council recycling.
No industry-wide return system
There’s no way for sleeves to move back through the supply chain once they’re used.
Growing pressure without infrastructure
Customers and regulators expect circularity, but the system to support it doesn’t exist.
HOW IT WORKS
How The Flower Loop Works
The system mirrors existing ordering and waste processes, so businesses do not need to change how they work.
We supply 100% recycled flower sleeves directly to growers, wholesalers and florists so switching is simple and seamless.

USE OUR RECYCLED SLEEVES
RETURN THEM TO THE LOOP
WE REMANUFACTURE THEM
SLEEVES RE-ENTER CIRCULATION

Growers, florists, and wholesalers use our 100% recycled sleeves as part of everyday operations.
Used sleeves are placed into the Circular Bag and collected through our return system.
Returned sleeves are sorted, recycled, and remade into new 100% recycled sleeves.
The recycled sleeves are supplied back to the flower industry, keeping plastic in use instead of landfill.
OUR PURPOSE
Built by growers,
for a better floristry system

The Flower Loop was built by flower growers who saw a problem the industry could no longer ignore.
We provide a simple, affordable system that turns used plastic sleeves into new 100% recycled sleeves, keeping plastic in use and out of landfill.
Designed to fit seamlessly into existing workflows, with no extra effort required.
For florists and growers, this means less waste to manage, stronger sustainability credentials, and a clearer story for customers who care where their flowers come from.
WHY IT MATTERS
Plastic isn't the problem,
a broken system is
A national closed-loop system for New Zealand's flower industry.
Plastic sleeves are everywhere in floristry. Flowers are often wrapped two or three times before reaching the customer. Every year, New Zealand discards an estimated 120 tonnes of single-use sleeves, more than 20 million individual sleeves going straight to landfill.
Switching to a different material doesn’t fix that. Without a return system, the problem doesn’t change, only the material does.
The Flower Loop replaces a linear supply chain with a closed-loop system, where used sleeves become the raw material for the next production run. The same plastic stays in circulation, instead of being replaced by virgin material.

OUR SYSTEM
120 tonnes. Every year. From one industry.
For growers and florists, this means:
No change to daily workflows
Less waste to manage on-site
Lower reliance on virgin plastic
Clear sustainability proof for customers and partners
With The Flower Loop, sustainability becomes part of how your business runs, not something you have to manage on top of it.
